Petrosea, Hyundai win Makassar Strait oil, gas project

Construction engineering company of PT Petrosea Tbk announced Tuesday that Petrosea in consortium with Hyundai Heavy Industries of South Korea and Clough Engineering of Western Australia has been awarded the contract by Unocal Makassar Ltd for the Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication Construction, Installation and Commissioning of the West Seno Field Production Facilities and Pipelines at Makassar Strait, Indonesia.
According to the company a limited notice to proceed was issued by Unocal on 3 August 2001.
Although the contract value is in excess of US$ 344 million, the share of work to be completed by PT Petrosea Tbk is only approximately US$ 10 million and relates to modification to the Santan terminal north of Samarinda.(alex)
