Petrosea to start coal production from E. Kalimantan mine in 2008

JSX-listed engineering, construction and mining firm PT.Petrosea will start coal production from its Santan mine in East Kalimantan in 2008.
Company?s Technical Services Manager-Mining Ed Cooney told reporters on Monday that the mine, which is a 50:50 joint venture with coal miner group PT.Tanito Harum, is currently on exploration drilling stage.
Cooney did not give further detail about planned production capacity.
The company in December 2005 report to the JSX said that the mine was initially planned to start production in the third quarter of 2006 using Tanito?s infrastructures.
Petrosea is a subsidiary of Australia?s engineering contractor Clough Limited. (bernard)
