Petrosea unit acquires Mahaka Industri Perdana

IDX-listed mining contractor PT Petrosea Tbk said its subsidiary PT POSB Infrastructure Kalimantan had on Friday signed an agreement to purchase 51.29 percent stake in PT Mahaka Industri Perdana for US$1.08 million.

According to the latter?s website, Mahaka Industri, established in 1998, provides services to PT Freeport Indonesia for the operation and maintenance of a lime plant at the Grasberg mine in Papua.

Located 3,850 meters above sea level in the Grasberg Area, this state-of-the-art plant has a processing capacity of 400 MTD and incorporates the very latest production processes to ensure that the end products meets the most demanding standards. The Grasberg plant makes PT Mahaka Industri Perdana Indonesia?s largest producer of calcium oxide (CaO).
