Petroz? Central Sumatra exploration blocks interest for sale

Australian oil firm Petroz NL is seeking to sell its 38.89 percent interest in Korinci Baru and Bentu Sengat exploration blocks in Central Sumatra, according to Indogopool.com.

Both blocks are located within the Central Sumatran Basin in Indonesia, immediately south of the Caltex-operated Minas oil field. The PSCs contain a number of gas fields with certified reserves that are available for immediate development.

The website said Petroz tried to sell its interest in both blocks ?as the continued participation in the development of these blocks is no longer consistent with the Petroz NL gas resource development strategy?.

Another Australian oil firm, Santos Limited holds 61.11 percent working interest in Korinci Baru and Bentu Sengat and is the operator of both blocks. (Robert)
