PGN 2007 net profit down

State owned gas distributor company PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN) on Friday reported a 16.9 percent fall in its 2007 net profit as the firm was hit by foreign exchange losses.
PGN said in a statement that its net profit fell to Rp1.57 trillion (1U$1= Rp 9,175) in 2007 from Rp 1.89 trillion in the previous year.
The fall in its net profit came despite the company's sales revenue climbing by 32.7 percent to Rp 8.8 trillion from Rp 6.6 trillion in earlier year. (denny)
