PGN awards construction contract for SSWJ II offshore pipeline

State-owned gas transmission and distribution firm PT PGN has awarded a contract worth US$138.8 million for the construction of the offshore part of South Sumatra-West Java Phase II gas pipeline project to a joint venture of Dubai-based Likpin LLC, state-owned engineering firm PT Rekayasa Industri and Malaysian company Peremba Construction Sdn Bhd.
Peremba’s parent company PECD Bhd said in a statement recently that the scope of works of the project comprised of construction and installation of a 32 inch diameter pipeline running from Labuhan Maringgai to Muara Bekasi (about 165 km) complete with all attendant civil works and mechanical installations, testing and pre-commissioning.
The project duration is 10 months from the date of site possession, PECD added. (Robert)
