PGN completes gas pipeline project in Pasuruan

Together with the 27-km Jetis-Ploso pipeline from Mojokerto to Jombang, also in East Java, which was recently completed by the firm, the newly-completed Kejayan[-Purwosari pipeline will strengthen PGN?s service in the province, PGN?s Director Dilo Seno Widagdo said.
?PGN is always a pioneer in opening new area by building gas infrastructures,? Dilo said.
PGN?s Pasuruan Area Head Agust Mustofa Hadi said the Kejayan-Purwosari pipeline will channel gas to industrial and commercial customers and later to small scale industries and households, adding that PGN will channel 17 mmscfd of gas through the pipeline.
In comparison, the recently-completed Jetis-Ploso pipeline channels 65 mmscfd of gas.
At present, PGN operates more than 7,000 km of pipelines, which accounts for 76 percent of total gas pipelines in Indonesia. In East Java, the firm operates 493 km of pipelines in Surabaya, 313 km in Sidoarjo, and 189 km in Pasuruan. (*)
