The new line is an advancement of the CP3A (Bojonegara-Cikande) project which has been in operation since last year and forms part of the South Sumatra-West Java (SSWJ) network.
Djoko Saputro, Director of Technology and Development, said the construction of the pipeline, which will span for 30 km, is about 50 percent completed.
The maximum capacity that can be delivered through the Bojonegara-Bitung is designed at 216 mmscfd. The network will directly flow in to East Banten distribution system that has been connected with PGN?s distribution system in West Java that covers Banten-Jakarta-Bogor-Bekasi and Karawang areas.
