PGN continues to expand gas pipeline

The 207 km gas pipeline was developed by PGN subsidiary PT Kalimantan Jawa Gas from the Kepodang field operated by Malaysian firm Petronas Carigali to the power plant owned by state-owned electricity firm PT PLN.
Investor Daily quoted PGN Head of Corporate Communications Irwan Andi Atmanto as saying Monday that the completion of the Kalija I pipeline has expanded the company?s gas pipeline to 6,470 km, or about 70 percent of total existing gas pipelines in the country, thus making PGN as the leading gas distribution firm.
Irwan said that PGN plans to further develop new gas pipelines with combined length of 490 km this year as part of the company?s total target of 4,000 km new pipelines until 2019.(*)
