PGN: Duri-Dumai pipeline to be completed end 2015

The Duri-Dumai pipeline project, which is being developed by state-controlled gas distributor PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGN), is expected to be completed at the end of this year or early 2016, according to an official of PGN.

?Once the Duri-Dumai pipeline project is completed, we will proceed with the Dumai-Medan pipeline project,? PGN?s spokesperson Irwan Andriatmanto told Petromindo.com.

PGN has is developing a giant gas pipeline linking Duri in Riau to Medan in North Sumatra. The pipeline will have a total length of 525 km, consisting of two parts, namely the Duri-Dumai segment measuring 130 km and the Dumai-Medan segment measuring 395 km.

?God Willing, the Dumai-Medan pipeline will be carried out early next year,? he said.
