PGN expands gas pipeline in East Java

IDX-listed state gas distribution company PGN is currently developing new gas pipeline facilities in five areas in East Java in a bid to distribute gas to industrial customers in the region, Kompas reported on Friday.

General Manager of PGN?s second regional distribution strategic business unit, Wahyudi Agustinus said that new gas pipeline facilities totaling more than 58 km are currently being developed in Mojokerto, Jombang, Lamongan, Tuban, and Malang. Construction is expected to be completed by end of this year.

The PGN strategic business unit currently has more than 760 km of gas pipeline network in East Java, where the company is moving to increase gas supply to industries as cheaper and environmental-friendly source of energy. (*)
