Distribution of gas for 71 households via newly developed household gas pipeline network (or better known as Jargas) in Cirebon City, West Java Province, was made on Wednesday, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources said.
The ministry said in a statement that more households in Cirebon City will enjoy gas supply from state-controlled gas distribution firm PT PGN Tbk once the company has completed construction of the new gas pipeline network in November of this year.

PGN has been assigned by the ministry to expand the gas pipeline network in Cirebon City to distribute gas for additional 4,515 households. PGN completed development of the first Jargas facility in Cirebon City in 2012 for 4,000 households, and expanded the Jargas in 2018 providing gas supply for another 3,503 households.
The ministry said that PGN is also assigned to develop Jargas in Cirebon Regency to provide gas for 3,758 households, which is also targeted for completion in November 2021.
The gas supply for the Jargas in Cirebon City and Cirebon regency comes from upstream company PT Pertamina EP, the statement said.
