State-controlled gas distribution firm PT PGN Tbk signed on Wednesday an MoU with PT Jakarta Propertindo (JAKPRO), a property developer owned by the provincial administration of Jakarta, for a joint cooperation to develop gas infrastructure facility in the capital city.

PGN said in a statement that under the MoU, the company would be allowed to utilize land owned by JAKPRO in Jakarta to develop the gas infrastructure facility.

The infrastructure facility is necessary to help expand gas distribution for the transportation sector and other industries in Jakarta, PGN said.

PGN and JAKPRO have previously cooperated in setting up a mobile gas refueling unit in North Jakarta, and in the near future plans to jointly develop gas refilling stations in a number of areas in the city.
