IDX-listed gas distribution firm PGN Tbk said that construction of the first phase 207 Km Kalija gas pipeline project in Central Java has been progressing well and is expected to be completed in the third quarter of next year.
This was said by the company in an update statement Thursday of its gas infrastructure projects.
PT Kalimantan Java Gas, which is 80 percent owned by PGN and 20 percent PT Bakrie and Brothers, has been assigned to develop the Kalija gas pipeline.
The project is divided into two phases. The first 207 km will link the Kepodang gas field, offshore Central Java, and the combined cycle Tambak Lorok power plant in Central Java. The second phase 1,200 km pipeline will be later developed connecting the Kalija I pipeline with gas fields in East Kalimantan.
