PT PGN LNG Indonesia said it has completed on March 17  its 97th ship-to-ship (STS) transfer at the Lampung floating storage regasification unit (FSRU), as it continues to supply liquefied natural gas to customers.

The latest operation delivered around 130,000 cubic metres of LNG sourced from the Tangguh LNG Plant in Papua, transported by LNG carrier Prima Carrier, the company said in a social media update.

The transfer marks the seventh STS operation carried out this year at the Lampung facility.

PGN LNG said the operation was completed safely and without disruption, supporting ongoing gas distribution to downstream users.

The Lampung FSRU plays a role in receiving LNG cargoes and regasifying them for delivery into the domestic gas network, helping to balance supply and demand across regions with limited pipeline infrastructure.

Ship-to-ship transfers are a standard method for LNG handling at offshore terminals, allowing cargoes to be transferred between vessels before regasification and distribution.
