PGN, Medan administration sign cooperation in gas meter calibration

State-controlled gas distribution firm PT PGN Tbk signed on Thursday a cooperation agreement with the Trade Office of the Medan Mayoralty Administration in North Sumatra Province for calibration of gas meter at PGN’s customers in the city.

PGN’s Group Head for Infrastructure, Sugito was quoted as saying that according to Law No 23/2014, regency and mayoralty administrations hold authority over the calibration of gas meters.

He said that the gas meters of PGN’s household customers must be calibrated every 10 years.  Through the cooperation agreement, PGN aims to strengthen the capacity of the Medan City administration in the calibration of the gas meters.

PGN has a total of 19,000 household customers in Medan, the capital city of North Sumatra.(*)
