PGN corporate secretary Widyatmiko Bapang said in Jakarta last week that the consortium had won the international tender that had been held by PGN as part of the World Bank-financed projects to develop the gas distribution networks in West Java.
The project would be the continuation of the construction of the two gas pipelines linking South Sumatra and West Java, which was now underway, he said, adding that the consulting contract worth about 155.5 million yen or about Rp 37.7 billion would cover definitive design, the tender process for suppliers and contractors, project supervision and commissioning.
According to him, the project would expand the capacity of the existing distribution networks in West Java so that it would be able to distribute additional gas supply of about 700 million cubic feet per day from the South Sumatra and West Java pipeline to PGN's customers. (*)
