PGN opens tender for construction of S. Sumatra-W. Java offshore gas pipeline

INVITATION TO BIDS

PT. PERUSAHAAN GAS NEGARA (PERSERO), TBK. (PGN) would like to invite eligible bidders to the bidding of the following contract:

SOUTH SUMATERA ?WEST JAVA GAS PIPELINE PROJECT PHASE II
PIPELINE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT (PCC) FOR LABUHAN MARINGGAI-MUARA BEKASI OFFSHORE GAS TRANSMISSION PIPELINE
Approximately 165 km Offshore 32? High Pressure Steel Pipeline

The contract will be through the International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures. PGN will provide the coated steel line pipe.

Bidders (the lead partner in the case of a JV/consortium/associate) from foreign countries and domestic, who wish to bid for this package must be pipeline construction contractors and submit the followings:

1. Certified successful experience (certificate of completion/client?s reference for completion of works) as the prime contractor in the design, procurement and installation of at least 1 offshore transmission pipe line contract (gas or oil related) within the last 10 years, where each contracts shall have the minimum pipe diameter of 20? and the minimum pipe line length of 50 km.

2. A commitment letter issued by a reputable bank, stating that it will consider issuing a credit line to the applicant in the amount of US Dollar 30,000,000,00.

3. The Bidders shall furnish a bid security in the amount of US Dollar 2,500,000,00 and it accordance with the requirements as stated in the bidding documents.

Evaluation will be based on the contractor?s experience, technical capability, and financial standing with emphasis on pipeline construction experience.

A complete set of Bid Documents shall be purchased by the Bidders following the submission of a written request and a payment of a non-refundable fee in the amount of Rp 2.500.000,- to the address below from 16 September 2005 until 22 September 2005 from 09:00 am to 04:00 pm. The proposal must be delivered to the address below by not later then the date and time as stipulated in the bidding document.
