PGN, Pertamina in talks to extend gas supply deal

IDX-listed state gas distribution firm PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (Persero) (PGN) is in talks with PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE) to extend gas supply contract from Offshore North West Java (ONWJ) oil, gas block by another six months until the end of the year.

PGN Corporate Secretary Wahid Sutopo told Petromindo.Com that negotiation is ongoing, but did not give detail.

PGN has been able to secure 30 MMCFD supply extension from ONWJ, which is operated by PHE, for another three months until June. PHE is an upstream unit of state oil, gas firm Pertamina.

Separately PHE Spokesperson Ali Mundakir said PGN has asked for 3.78 trillion btu (TBTU) of supply from ONWJ, including 1.58 TBTU from April to June.

Ali said the gas supply agreement amendment has yet been signed, but he signaled that the deal might soon be signed. (bernard)
