PGN: Progress of city gas network program reaches 40%

IDX-listed gas distribution company PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGN) has connected 127,684 households (SRs) with city gas distribution network (Jargas) program, representing 40 percent of the full-year target of 316,000 households.
"Despite Covid-19 pandemic, we still move ahead with the installation of the city gas network. So far, we have connected 127,864 households (with Jargas), spreading in 10 cities or regencies across Indonesia," said President Director of PGN Suko Hartono.
In the period of 2009-2019, PGN has connected 537,936 households with city gas networks.

He said 60 of the total 514 cities have been connected with the city gas network program or 10-11 percent of the total cities, while the length of the pipeline network has reached 3,838 kilometers. The program has covered cities from Aceh to Papua.
The city gas network program is part of the government's drive to increase the utilization of gas by the domestic market.
