PGN Q1 net profit soars on higher sales volume

State gas distribution firm PGN reported on Thursday that its first quarter 2009 net profit increased by 114 percent to RP.1.22 trillion (US$= Rp.10,500), while revenue increased by 62 percent to Rp.4.48 trillion to increased gas sales volume.
The company said gas sales was increased by 37 percent to 721MMCFD in the fisrt quarter of 2009, mainly contributed by electricity generating sector. Gas transmission volume also increased by 9 percent to 779MMCFD.(godang)
