PGN relocates pipelines in S. Sumatra

PGN Corporate Secretary Heri Yusup said in a statement on Monday that the company is closely coordinating with IDX-listed engineering company PT Waskita Karya Tbk for the relocation of the pipelines.
He said that the relocation process is expected to be completed in 1-2 days so that Waskita can proceed with the construction of the LRT.
Elsewhere, PGN reiterated that it is expanding its gas pipeline network in Palembang in the hope that 15 industries in the near future will start getting gas flow from PGN.
In addition, PGN is also expanding gas pipeline for household customers, hoping that some 1,500 households will get gas supply soon from the company.
PGN currently supplies gas to some 5,993 customers in Palembang, comprising of 5,703 households, 78 commercial customers such as hotel, hospitals, cafes, and restaurants, and 9 industry customers including power plants.
Throughout the country, PGN supplies gas to more than 116,600 household customers, 1,900 small-medium scale businesses, and 1,580 industries.
The company currently operates more than 7,200-km of gas pipelines across the country, or 78 percent of the country?s total. PGN?s gas distribution operations include in North Sumatra, Riau Islands, South Sumatra, Lampung, Jakarta, West Java, Banten, Central Java, East Java, North Kalimantan, and West Papua.
