PGN reports increasing gas delivery rate to Krakatau Daya Listrik

State-owned gas distributor PT PGN reported Wednesday gas delivery rate for PT Krakatau Daya Listrik (KDL) had reached 50 million standard cubic feet per day (MMCFD, surpassing the target of 40 MMSCFD scheduled for May 2007.
KDL is PGN?s first customer for the South Sumatra-West Java gas pipeline project. Gas delivery to KDL, which is sourced from state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina?s gas field in South Sumatra, commenced on March 14, 2007.
KDL operates a 400-MW oil and gas power plant in Banten province. The company is a subsidiary of state-owned steel maker PT Krakatau Steel.
KDL has agreed to purchase approximately 60 MMSCFD of natural gas from PGN. The contracted rate is expected to be achieved in August 2007.(robert)
