PGN reports slightly higher gas sales

State owned gas distributor PT PGN reported that it has distributed 787 mmscfd of gas during the first quarter of the year, about 7 mmscfd higher than in the same period a year before.

Meanwhile the volume of gas transmitted through its transmission pipeline reached 861 mmscfd, slightly higher than in previous year of 860 mmscfd, PGN said in a quarterly performance report revealed Monday.

The figures helped pushed revenue in the quarter to reach US$582.1 million, from $534.6 million in the previous year. EBITDA hit $321.4 million from $303.2 million in the first three months of 2011.

Starting January 1, 2012, PGN has used US dollar as the basis for its financial reports.
