PGN?s H1 net profit jumps on higher sales

State owned gas distributor PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGN) said on Monday that its net profit in the first-half of this year reached Rp 3.19 trillion (1US$ = Rp 10,050), increased by 135% compared to the same period of last year at 1.35 trillion.

The company said gas sales increased by 37 percent to 756 MMCFD in the first-half of 2009, mainly contributed by electricity generating sector. Gas transmission volume also increased to 763MMCFD from 743MMCFD, PGN?s President Director Hendy P Santoso said. (godang)
