PGN seeks additional gas supply from BP

IDX-listed state gas distribution firm PGN said it was negotiating for additional gas supply from BP-operated Offshore North West Java Block in West Java to meet demand from its West Java customers.

CEO Hendi Prio Santoso refused to give detail about price, volume and delivery citing confidentiality, but hinted that PGN was looking for additional supply of 60MMCFD.

Currently, ONWJ supplies 65MMCFD of gas to PGN under long-term contract.

Nasri Sebayang, a senior PLN official said earlier that PLN will 30MMCFD of the gas PGN would buy from ONWJ for its Muara Karang power plant. (bernard/denny)
