PGN sets up power subsidiary

IDX-listed gas distribution firm PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGN) announced Wednesday it has set up a new subsidiary called PT Widar Mandripa Nusantara.
PGN said in a filing with the Indonesia Stock Exchange that Widar will be engaged in the supply of electricity, and will participate in power plants tender to be held by state-owned electricity firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara.
No further details were provided.
