PGN signs contracts with 17 new customers in Banten

The 17 new costumers will receive a combined supply of 550.000 cubic meters/per month of gas over a period of five years.
The signing ceremony was held in Aryaduta Hotel, Karawaci, Tangerang.
PGN?s Business Director Jobi Triananda Hasjim said aside from the 17 new customers, there will 19 more industrial customers in Tangerang, who will sign similar agreements with PGN later this year.
At present, he said, PGN serves around 227 costumers from among mid and big size industrial companies in Banten?s areas such as Serpong, Jatake Industrial Estate, Manis, Cikupamas, Millenium, Langgeng Sahabat and Modern Cikande. In line with the growth of the industrial sector in the province, PGN will continue building gas infrastructures to meet the demand of business sector.
?PGN is read to build gas infrastructures in Banten and other regions of Indonesia. In order to speed up the conversion from oil fuel to gas, the certainty of gas supplies should be synergized with a conducive business climate for the expansion of natural gas market, particularly with regards licensing, to accelerate the development of gas infrastructures,? Jobi said.
PGN has built and is operating 260 km of gas pipelines in Banten. It is now the process of finishing the CP3B Cikande-Bitung project to transmit gas to the East Banten distribution system. The project is the continuation of the CP3A Bojonegara-Cikande pipeline system which has been in operation since 2012, which is the continuation of the South Sumatra-West Java (SSWJ) pipeline.
