PGN signs pipe coating contract with Indojaya

State-owned gas transmission and distribution PT PGN on Monday signed a pipe coating contract worth US$12.5 million plus Rp92.8 billion (US$=Rp1,100) with PT Indojaya Pipe for the offshore part of the South Sumatra-West Java phase II pipelines project.

PGN said Indojaya would coat approximately 168.6 km of the 32? pipeline from Labuhan Maringgai (Lampung) to Muara Bekasi (Jakarta) with internal, external and concrete coatings.

The SSWJ phase II project is aimed to deliver gas from ConocoPhillips-operated Corridor gas block in South Sumatra to PGN?s industrial customers in the northern part of West Java.

The 480-km pipeline project is scheduled to be completed by November 2006. (dino/godang)
