PGN starts channeling gas to houses in Sorong

?Starting today (Monday), we have been channeling gas to households in Sorong. Gradually, 3,898 houses will get gas supplies from PGN,? Business Unit Head of Gas Products Wahyudi Anas said in a statement.
He said the city gas network in Sorong was built by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and PGN was assigned by the ministry to manage the network.
The gas is supplied by PT Petrogas (Basin) Ltd at a volume of 0.2 mmscfd.
Aside from Sorong, PGN has been also assigned by the government to manage city gas networks built by the government in 10 areas with gas connections to a total of 43,337 houses. The areas are Jabodetabek (Jakarta and surrounding areas) with gas connections to 5,234 houses; Bogor regency (4000 houses), Cirebon city (4000 houses), Palembang city (3,311 houses), Surabaya city (2,900 houses), Depok city (4000 houses), Tarakan city (3,366 houses), Bekasi city (4,628 houses) and Semarang city (4000 houses) and Blora (4000 houses).
Aside from the city gas networks built by the government, PGN also manages city gas networks built by the company itself, with gas connections to a total of 107,690 houses.
Besides, PGN supplies gas to more than 1,857 commercial customers (restaurants, malls and hospitals) and small businesses; and 1,529 industries and power plants.
