PGN supplies gas to limestone processing firm

IDX-listed gas distribution firm PT PGN Tbk said on Tuesday it has started supplying gas to a limestone processing company called CV Salsabila in Majalengka, Cirebon, West Java Province.
PGN said in a statement that CV Salsabila is the only lime industry player in Indonesia which uses natural gas to burn the limestone and process it into lime.
The company said that CV Salsabila has signed a gas sale and purchase agreement with PGN with a gas supply volume of 114,000-132,000 cubic meters per month for a period of four years. Gas supply started in July of this year until March 31, 2023.
PGN said it will continue to be aggressive in developing new gas infrastructure facilities to increase gas utilization in the country. Last year, PGN developed new gas pipelines totaling 2,456 km. Currently, PGN operates more than 9,909-km of gas pipelines, representing 95 percent of total national gas pipelines.
The company has distributed gas to 1,739 manufacturing companies and power plants, 1,984 commercial customers (hotel, restaurants, and hospitals) and small-scale businesses, and 177,710 household customers.
