PGN supplies gas to Nusa Keihin

IDX-listed gas distribution company PT PGN Tbk started Friday supplying natural gas to automotive component maker PT Nusa Keihin Indonesia, which is part of the auto giant Astra Group.

?We have just transmitted natural gas to PT Keihin plant in the MM2100 Industrial Zone in Cibitung, Bekasi, West Java,? said PGN Head of Sales for Bekasi area, Bambang Purwanto in a statement.

The statement said that Nusa Keihin is the 205th gas customer of PGN in the Bekasi area with gas consumption of about 50,000m3 per month. Before switching to natural gas, Nusa Keihin used LPG at a volume of 25,000 kg per month.

?Our reason to switch to natural gas is to achieve efficiency in energy cost so that we could develop and expand the business. By switching to natural gas we could achieve efficiency of around 30 percent,? said Operational Director of Keihin, Anton Silaban in the statement.
