PGN to complete Dumai pipeline project next year

IDX-listed gas distribution firm PT PGN Tbk said that construction progress of a pipeline project in Dumai, Riau Province, has started a few months ago, and construction process has now reached 40 percent.
PGN Director of Infrastructure and Technology, Dilo Senio Widagdo said in a statement on Wednesday that the project is expected to be completed as scheduled and to start distributing gas at the end of next year.
He said that the new pipeline will distribute gas to household and industry consumers in Dumai including those located in the Pelintung Industrial Zone and Lubuk Gaung Industrial Zone.
He said that construction of the Lubuk Gaung pipeline section is expected to be completed at the end of this year, while the Simpang Belitung section in the middle of next year.
?We hope construction to be completed on scheduled in line with the completion of the 67-km Duri-Dumai pipeline in October 2018,? Dilo said.
PGN, which is also currently developing a number of new gas pipelines, currently operates a combined 7,279 km gas pipelines, or accounting for 80 percent of the total gas pipelines in the country.
