PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN), the state-owned gas utility, will complete its feasibility study in six months on a project to build LNG receiving terminal. The terminal will cost PGN $300 million

The study will be funded with the $500,000 assistance from the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) and the terminal will get gas supplies from East Kalimantan, Sulawesi and Papua provinces, the Bisnis Indonesia reported Thursday.

PGN president director Washington Mampe Parulian Simandjuntak said his company has been negotiating with various gas producers in East Kalimantan, including LNG refinery in Bontang.

?We will try to complete the feasibility study as soon as possible. For gas supply, we will try to tap the available gas resources in the domestic market, including in East Kalimantan. We have already initial talk with them (gas contractors in East Kalimantan),? he said. (*)
