PGN to increase gas supply to industries

State gas distribution company PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN) has promised to increase gas supply to industries at home. The new commitment was made through an memorandum of understanding (MoU) it signed on Tuesday with FIPGB, the forum for industrial consumers of gas, Kontan reported on Thursday.
Under the MoU, PGN promises to allocate more gas for industries in 2011-2013. Gas supply for the food and beverage industry, for instance, will be increased from 35.99 mmscfd to 43.18 mmscfd.
Supply for the steel industry will be raised from 972.45 mmscfd to 1,166.94 mmscfd, and for the ceramics industry will be increased to 173.66 mmscfd from 144.72 mmscfd. (*)
