PGN to sign 12-year gas supply contracts with SMEs

State-owned gas transmission and distribution PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN) will sign gas sales and purchase agreements for a 12-year of gas supply with a group of small and medium enterprises in Banten and West Java Provinces next week.
?Initially, PGN will supply about 150 MMSCFD (million standard cubic feet per day) of natural gas in the first year and gradually increases to 200 MMSCFD in the second year and to its plateau level of 250 MMSCFD in the third year,? PGN?s business director Nur Subagyo Prijono said Friday.
According to Nur, gas supply to the group will be sourced from ConocoPhillips? Corridor block and state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina?s Pagar Dewa field, both located in South Sumatra.
PGN has targeted to commence gas delivery to the West Java markets in 2007 as the South Sumatra ? West Java gas transmission pipeline is expected to be completed at the end of 2006. (godang)
