Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources stated that IDX-listed gas distribution company PT PGN Tbk will take 12 cargoes from Tangguh LNG plant in West Papua, this year.

"But PGN keeps asking to negotiate the LNG price, because the crude price is very low now," Director General of Oil and Gas at the ministry IGN Wiratmaja said, adding that the 12 cargoes will come from train 2 of Tangguh LNG plant.

Wiratmaja said the largest takers domestically of LNG from Tangguh are PGN and state owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina (Persero). "We hope other companies will also take it," he said.
