State owned gas distributor PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN) wishes to participate in the development of Trans Java pipeline. It has set aside Rp 2 trillion in investment so it could participate in the project belonging to two other state owned companies, PT Pertamina and PT PLN.

Corporate Secretary Heri Yusuf said that gas needs in West Java to East Java are predicted to continue to increase in line with growth in industries.

"So gas from West Java could be flowed to East Java. Meanwhile, if there is a surplus in East Java, the gas could also be delivered to West Java. The prospect is very good. That's why we want to participate," said Heri as reported by Investor Daily. (*)
