PGN will soon start Cikande ? Bitung pipeline project

State-owned gas distribution company PGN will soon start the construction of a new gas pipeline linking Cikande and Bitung in Banten following the announcement of PT Promatcon Tepatguna as the winner of the project.

PGN director for technology and development Jobi Trinanda Hasjim said in Jakarta on Wednesday that he hoped PT Promatcon which had won the project would be able to soon start the construction works.

?We want the contractor to soon start the installation of the 24-inch gas project,? he said after the signing of the construction contract between PGN and Promatcon.

The Cikande-Bitung pipleline will support PGN?s distribution network I, which proovides gas supply to the company?s big customers. The new pipeline will be used to distribute gas from the South Sumatra-Java pipeline to household and industrial customers in Cikande, Bitung and Serpong areas. (romel)
