PHE adopts EOR in Bamboo West Field in Sudan

PT Pertamina Hulu Energi is applying EOR program using the so-called Semar surfactant, developed by the Bandung Institute of Technology, in Bamboo West Field in Sudan.

"In Sudan we are testing the EOR program in three wells. This Bamboo West Field is owned by us and operated by Coral Petroleum Operation Company (CPOC), Sudavet and Afrika Energy," said Corporate Secretary Wahidin Nurluzia Maryadi to petromindo.com.

Separately, Deputy Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Rudi Rubiandini confirmed the use of Semar surfactant in Sudan. In fact, he added, similar test using the same kind of surfactant is currently underway in Kuwait.
