PHE completes drilling of 6 exploration wells

PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE), a subsidiary of state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina, said it has completed drilling of six exploration wells.

?In line with the RKAP, we plan to drill eight exploration wells, of which six have been completed,? said PHE President Director Gunung Sardjono on Wednesday, referring to the company work and budget plan.

Of the six wells, four are CBM wells located in Sangatta and Tanjung Enim blocks, he added.

Elsewhere, Gunung said that in terms of workover program, PHE has completed drilling of 20 wells, while drilling of two wells are still in progress, of the target to drill 49 wells.

He said that while the company has initially targeted 10 development wells for this year, it has been scaled down to eight wells, six of which have been completed including one well in Corridor block, one in Jabung block, and four in Tengah block.
