PHE faces obstacles in realizing peak output at WMO block

PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE) is facing difficulties in realizing peak production of 23-25,000 bopd at the West Offshore Madura (WMO) block because the necessary underwater pipeline linking PHE-54, 39 and PHE 38 with the Poleng production platform has yet to be installed.
?The installation of the pipeline has been hampered by lingering (bad) weather condition, and the need to replace several equipment. It is expected that the pipeline would be ready for use in the first week of July 2013. From then, production could be expected to reach 23-25,000 bpd,? PHE Operational Director, Edi Purnomo told Petromindo.com Wednesday.
Edi added that as of May 2013, two exploration wells and nine development wells at the WMO block have been drilled.
