PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE) has finalized the process of acquiring Anadarko?s assets and is hopeful to sign a closing deal soon.

"Hopefully, we can reach the closing deal this month. Until the closing deal signed, all the assets still belong to Anadarko,? PHE Asset Development Director Tenny Wibowo told Petromindo.com in Jakarta on Tuesday.

He said that in Nunukan, where Anadarko is an operator, the main focus will be exploration well drillings which are expected to start in the middle of this year.

He pointed out that after the closing deal, PHE will become the operator of Nunukan Block and will have participating interests in the production sharing contracts of Bukat and Ambalat.

A reliable source told Petromindo.com that PHE is the 100 percent owner and operator of the Nunukan Block. ?This year PHE will drill two appraisal wells," he said.

Separately, upstream authority SKK Migas Planning Deputy Widiyawan Prawiraatmadja will invite PHE to a meeting on the development of the block it has acquired from Anadarko.

"I have a plan to invite PHE to discuss with them about their plan in the block it has acquired from Anadarko. We?ll inform you later on its latest development,? Widiyawan told Petromindo.com.
