PHE names seabed surveyor for Nunukan PSC

PT Pertamina Hulu Energy has appointed Marine Survey & Metocean as surveyor of seabed technical conditions at Nunukan PSC in North Kalimantan.

General Manager PT PHE Nunukan Alfian Husein told Petromindo. Com that the seabed technical survey is necessary in order to provide inputs for the making of Front End Engineering Design (FEED) of the block. The seabed survey will be ongoing through June.

He said the firm has completed pre-qualification process to select the contractor to make the FEED. More than five firms have passed the selection and the firm will announce the winner in June of this year.

He refused however to unveil the names of the firms that passed the pre-qualification selection.

The government recently approved the Plan of Development-1 (PoD-1) of the block. Under the PoD, the block will produce 60,000 mmscfd and 1800 bpd starting in 2019.

The block is operated by PHE with a 66.67 percent interest. It partners with Indian firms Videocon Industries (20.83 percent) and Bharat PetroResources Ltd. (12.50 percent).
