PHE ONWJ awarded best company in working safety

BPMigas handed over the Zero Incident award on Saturday at Eco Park, Ancol, during BPMigas' 9th anniversary celebration. The award ceremony, handed over by BPMigas chairman R. Priyono to Executive VP/GM PHE ONWJ Ignatius Tenny Wibowo, was carried out in an effort to encourage business players in the oil and gas sector to work towards Journey Zero Incident.
"This award from BPMigas is a testament to our prudent operations. We thank you for this award and are striving to continue to uphold working safety regulations that have become a key value for our daily operations," Ignatius said in a media statement.
Earlier this year, the company also received a similar award from Indonesia's Manpower and Transmigration Ministry under the 9 million hours of work with zero incident category from March 2010 to February 2011. It emulated PHE ONWJ's achievement the year before, when it received the award under the 12 million hours of work with zero incident category from February 2008 to February 2010.
PHE ONWJ attributes those achievements to the adoption of internationally-standarized working safety programs; from Safe Control of Work System, Workers' Safety Communication (STOP Card), Constructors' Safety Management System (CSMS) to field inspection from the Management.
"BPMigas' appreciation and similar awards from other institutions are the results of hardworks by all of our employees in implementing the safety regulations. The Management expresses the highest gratitude to that hardworks," Ignatius added.(godang)
