PHE ONWJ first-half oil output up to 40,300 bopd

PT Pertamina Hulu Energi Offshore North West Java (PHE ONWJ), the operator of the ONWJ oil and gas block, saw average oil production in the first semester of this year increased slightly to 40,300 bopd, compared to 38,996 bopd in the same first six months period of last year.

The 2014 first-half output performance exceeded the 39,400 bopd production target set by the upstream oil and gas authority SKK Migas.

"In fact, on May 16, 2014, we were able to penetrate the oil production rate of 46,400 bopd," said Executive Vice President/General Manager of PHE ONWJ, Jonly Sinulingga.

Meanwhile, the company?s natural gas production in the first half of 2014 reached 192 mmscfd, he said.

"We will continue to make efforts to increase production through various activities such as new initiatives as well as the optimization of production operations at each facility so that production of oil and gas production can be improved," said Jonly.
