PHE ONWJ gets ISO 14001 and MURI certificates

PT Pertamina Hulu Energi Offshore North West Java (PHE ONWJ) has received ISO-14001 certificate for the company?s 16 oil and gas production facilities in the country from independent ISO auditor Det Norske Verita (DNV) .

The facilities which received the ISO 14001 certificates comprise of 10 off-shore platforms and 6 on-shore operational facilities.

PHE ONWJ was also recorded by Indonesian museum record (MURI) as the company in Indonesia which has the most off-shore production facilities to have received ISO-14001 certificates.

?The success of receiving the ISO-14001 certificate reflects our serious commitment to adopt international standards for environmental management system,? PHE ONWJ?s Executive Vice President/General Manager Tenny Wibowo said, underlining that the ISO-14001 certificates on standards for environmental management system are from independent ISO auditor DNV.

ISO 14001 is the internationally recognized standard for the environmental management of businesses. It prescribes controls for those activities that have an effect on the environment. These include the use of natural resources, handling and treatment of waste and energy consumption. (demas)
