PHE ONWJ installs new GGA platform

PT Pertamina Hulu Energi Offshore North West Java (PHE ONWJ), a subsidiary of state owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina (Persero), has completed installation of a new platform, namely GGA platform, at the GG field located in Indramayu coastal waters in West Java at the end of June 2014, according to an official of the firm.
"The installation of the GGA platform is a good step for PHE ONWJ to obtain additional gas production, which is expected to reach about 31 mmscfd from the GG field," said Communications and Relations Manager of PHE ONWJ Donna Priadi in Jakarta.
She pointed out that the construction and installation of the GGA platform is part of a development project of the GG field undertaken by PHE ONWJ. In addition to the installation of the platform, this project also comprises of the construction of an onshore processing facility located in Balongan connected by subsea pipeline along 35 km, according to Donna.
"At present, the onshore processing facility is under construction, and expected to be completed by the end of 2014, so that it can be ready for operation in early 2015," she said.
