PT Pertamina Hulu Energi Offshore North West Java?s (PHE ONWJ), the operator of the ONWJ block offshore West Java, said on Wednesday it was able produce 40,400 bpd of oil and 173 mmscfd of gas from the block in the first half of the year, in line with the target set by upstream authority SKK Migas.

SKK Migas targets the firm to produce 40,000 bopd and 175 mmcfd for this year.

?The instability of world oil prices has made many companies, including PHE ONWJ, to adjust their operational and production activities. Still, with a strong determination and spirit to support the national energy resilience, all PHE ONWJ workers are ready to achieve the production target set by the government,? President/GM of PHE ONWJ Jonly Sinulingga said in a statement.

After successfully completing last year the development of UL and GG fields, which now significantly contributes to the block?s production, PHE ONWJ has also successfully completed two other crucial projects this year, namely the Zulu Field Reactivation Project and the Installation of Gas Lift Compressor at KL field.

The Zulu Field Reactivation Project was completed on May 31, 2015. It is expected to contribute 500 bopd to the block?s production. Meanwhile, the Gas Lift Compressor Installation Project at KL field was completed on June 14. The KL field is able to contribute 4,000 bopd and 32-38 mmscfd to the block?s production this year and next.
