The green rating certificate, the second received by the company, was presented by Minister of Environmental Affairs Balthasar Kambuaya to PHE ONWJ?s Vice President/General Manager Tenny Wibowo at a reception at the Shangrila Hotel in Jakarta on Nov. 30.
Tenny said that the achievement of receiving the green rating reflected the company?s strong commitment in the protection of environment as well as in the development of the local community in its operation.
The PROPER rating program which has been introduced since 2002 is based on compliance to PROPER requirements such as management of water and air pollution, management of hazardous and toxic waste (B3), and other obligations relating to the company?s environmental impact assessment (AMDAL).
In addition to the environmental rating certificate, PHE ONWJ has also received this year a number of appreciation awards. The company for example recently received a working safety award for zero accident in the category of 9 million working hours from the Transmigration and Manpower Ministry.
The other appreciations include a zero accidence award for the category of 5-10 million working hours from BPMigas, CSMS Role Model of The year from Pertamina and a Dharma Karya award from the Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry.
Besides the environmental and work safety awards, the company?s 16 offshore oil and gas rigs have also received ISO 14001 certification this year. (demas)
